Connect any API with OpenAPI

Manage your API data, build a API queries in Jet Admin
Overview

The Open API integration connects Jet Admin to any REST API described by an OpenAPI spec, so you can call an endpoint, authenticate a request, and map response fields directly from a Jet Admin app instead of writing custom integration code. It's a way to turn a documented API into tables and forms in minutes.

Once connected, API data can be joined to records in your own database, scoped by role, and used in a form or approval workflow. Every action is recorded in Jet Admin's audit log alongside the rest of your app's activity.

What you can do
Call an API endpoint
Call any endpoint described in an OpenAPI spec directly from a Jet Admin action.
Import an OpenAPI spec
Import a spec file or URL to automatically map available endpoints and fields.
Authenticate a request
Attach an API key, bearer token, or OAuth credential to outgoing requests.
Map response fields
Map a response's JSON fields to the columns your table needs.
Use Cases
Scenario
What it looks like
Connect to any documented REST API
Point Jet Admin at an OpenAPI spec and start building without writing custom integration code.
Build on an internal API without custom code
Turn your own internal API into an admin panel or dashboard in minutes.
Standardize how your team calls external services
Give a team a consistent way to call third-party APIs from inside their apps.

Key benefits

  • No custom code. Import a spec and start calling endpoints right away.
  • Flexible authentication. Attach an API key, bearer token, or OAuth credential to any request.
  • Clean field mapping. Map a response's JSON fields to the columns your table needs.
  • Full audit trail. Every API call made from Jet Admin is logged for review.
