Is Django Admin good enough for production?

For a back office your own developers use, usually yes. It stops fitting when the people using it are not developers, when a screen has to do something other than create, read, update or delete a row, or when you need to prove who changed what.

Can non-developers use Django Admin safely?

Only roughly. Access is granted through is_staff and per-model permissions, so scoping someone to their own rows means writing custom querysets and permission classes. Jet handles row- and column-level rules as configuration on the Business plan.

How is Jet Admin different from Django Admin?

Django Admin reads your Django models and scaffolds forms for them. Jet reads your database directly, generates the interface from a description of what you need, and covers workflows, portals and dashboards that sit outside a single model.
